Grapes
Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Vineyard
The fields of the Estate, in the municipality of Buttrio (Udine). The soil is predominantly marly-clayey.

Vinification
Red wine vinification with a cold pre-fermentative maceration for best solubilization of the variety aromas contained in the skin and, during fermentation, contact between skins and must for long enough to obtain colour and structure.

Ageing
An initial maturation in wooden casks is followed by ageing in bottles stored in our estate underground cellar.

Appearance
Intense ruby colour with pleasant purple reflections.

Nose
A complex and elegant bouquet of sour cherries, wild blueberries and raspberries, black currants and plum.

Palate
A wine to appreciate straight away for its freshness and good structure, warm and velvety in the mouth, with intertwined lively and sweet and balanced tannins.

Food pairing
Splendid with white or red meat, especially when grilled. Excellent with roast meat, any type of game and hard cheese.

Longevity
Straight away or after a couple of years for maximum balance of the two components. This wine can easily exceed six years in the bottle.

Service
Best served at room temperature (18°C).
